2. Restrictions on Foreign Registrants
Under the new policy, .IN domains are primarily reserved for entities based in India.

Foreign Registrants: You must demonstrate a valid legal or business nexus with India (e.g., trademarks, local office presence). Without this proof, foreign entities will be barred from registering or maintaining .IN domains.
3. “ServerHold” Risk for Non-Compliance
This is the most critical aspect: Any domain that fails to complete the verification within the stipulated timeframe will be placed on SERVERHOLD status.
